So you want to be not only debt free but also be free from the tyranny of worrying about money all the time. Have you noticed that you worry about money even when you have enough to meet all your needs and even some extras? Do you really want to be rich or would you rather be comfortable with what money you are in charge of? Who is really in control, you or your money?
Perhaps you have been to seminars, but really would prefer to read books on financial freedom that you can sit and read at your leisure at home. You can underline things that jump out at you as pertinent to your life situation.
One lady who is interesting and fairly easy to follow is Suzie Orman who writes books on financial freedom and answers questions on television about what to do about various financial situations. One book that she wrote is called "9 Steps to Financial Freedom." Since that is what she is always talking about, it is no wonder that she wrote books on financial freedom!
There is one book that is quite interesting. It's called "What I Didn't Learn at School But Wish I Had" by best selling author and self-made millionaire Jamie McIntyre. There are many great books on financial freedom, but this one seems to be different somehow. This book teaches one how to master money. It teaches money management skills, millionaire mindset, balancing time and money, eliminating debt and many more. It also teaches strategies that one can use in the stock market, real estate and investment properties, business and internet so one can be financially free and give back more to society. Jamie 's investment strategies to produce wealth that is taught in very simple and easy to understand language that makes sense to normal people just like you and me.
There are probably millions of books on financial freedom. A lot of people think books on financial freedom are about getting out of debt. That subject can be part of it, but being free financially is about a lot more than that one basic but very essential step.
It is not enough to be free from debt, it is more important to be free to enjoy the money you make... to enjoy the party you can afford to put on for your child's birthday, for your wedding anniversary, for exotic travel around the world and many other luxuries.
You can read books on financial freedom until you're blue in the face and still not know what it is to be financially free. You are not free when you worry all the time about your money, stocks, or other investments. You are not free when you go to one extreme or the other, either spending more and more as your income goes up or tightening the purse strings from fear of losing everything.
Find a book that explains what the heart of financial freedom really is. Find the balance in your life and let that balance be involved with your money, your time, and all different areas.
Be free from anything that would control your mind, your heart, your feelings, and especially your spirit. Be free to be the person you were created to be: rich...in compassion, caring and giving, and a good steward of everything you are blessed with-including money!
