Collegeboard and CLEP Provide Military Personnel With An Opportunity To Earn College Credits Using CLEP Tests

The College-Level Exam Program (CLEP) gives eligible military personnel, including veterans, a way to finish college faster and earn valuable college credits. clep exams are proficiency-based multiple-choice tests that provide individuals pursuing a college degree with a way to earn college credits without attending a traditional college class. Since many enlisted military personnel are usually not able to attend traditional college classes, taking clep tests is a great way to work towards a degree while enlisted.

Another advantage of CLEP test for currently enlisted military personnel is the price. . . FREE! Most active duty military personnel and many veterans qualify for military-funded clep exams. If you are currently serving in the military, contact your Educational Services Officer (ESO) to see if you are eligible for free clep tests. The ESO can also inform you which military bases in the United States and abroad offer on base clep testing centers.

One of the reasons why military personnel will find clep exams beneficial is that they can study on their own schedule. Due to enlistment requirements, deployments, and work schedules, many military personnel find it difficult to attend traditional college courses. If military personnel find it difficult or impossible to attend traditional classes, clep tests may provide them with a way to work towards the degree with minimal time and on a flexible schedule.

One way to prepare for clep exams is using www.SpeedyPrep.com. This website offers interactive questions in a digital flashcard format and an advanced monitoring system to maximize each student’s study time. The SpeedyPrep system uses a complex algorithm to actually determine when a student has achieved a knowledge level that will equate to a passing score on the actual clep test. The monitoring system allows college students to pinpoint weak subject areas and spend more time studying the areas needing additional work.

The SpeedyPrep system does not require expensive textbooks or anything other than the completely online course to prepare for clep tests. SpeedyPrep courses were developed with the assumption that students have no previous knowledge of a subject and provide adequate study material to result in a passing score for any student willing to devote the necessary time studying.

SpeedyPrep is only $9.95 for the first month and guarantees a passing score on the actual clep test for all students who complete a SpeedyPrep clep test prep course. If a student who has completed a SpeedyPrep course encounters difficulty on the actual clep test, SpeedyPrep.com will refund all membership dues paid (up to four months). SpeedyPrep is able to offer such a strong guarantee due to the 99% pass rate that SpeedyPrep students currently have! SpeedyPrep currently offers preparation for thirteen different CLEP tests and adds a new prep course every few months.

There are currently 34 CLEP tests available and each exam provides 3 to 6 clep credits. The multiple-choice clep exams are graded instantaneously at most clep testing centers (including on-base testing centers). If you are currently serving in the military, visit www.collegeboard.com and contact your ESO for more information on how you utilize clep tests to graduate sooner.
