Colon Hydrotherapy School: What it Teaches

Find a Colon Hydrotherapy School in the United States and Canada. At a colon hydrotherapy school, students will learn about a natural and safe method that is used to detoxify and cleanse the colon. As a holistic healing modality, colon hydrotherapy is often incorporated into the common holistic health practitioner education, as well as in massage therapy schools.

The difference between a colon hydrotherapy school and other healing arts schools is the fact that this particular training environment focuses primarily on colon hydrotherapy. In a typical colon hydrotherapy school, candidates will gain extensive knowledge and skills in the application and theory of colon therapy, digestive system, anatomy, pathology, physiology and maintenance and sterilization of colon therapy equipment and tools. In addition, a colon hydrotherapy school may sometimes offer elective training in herbal remedies to further complement standard education.

Students at a colon hydrotherapy school will not only learn how to administer colon therapy treatments, but must almost always undergo the treatment to gain a full understanding into how the treatment is effectively used. This also teaches students how to interact with clients, and gives them necessary skills to evaluate clients.

Other course objectives offered through a colon hydrotherapy school include teaching students about diet and nutrition, and the benefits of colon irrigation. In many cases, colon hydrotherapy school students are amazed at the beneficial health results; which commonly include promotion of weight loss, improved digestive system function and even better cardiovascular circulation.

Students who successfully complete all coursework (basic colon therapy programs entail 100 hours) and hands-on training at a colon hydrotherapy school become certified and may begin practicing as a certified colon hydrotherapist. Some students in a hydrotherapy school may opt to continue onward and take more advanced levels of training to become a certified teacher.

Graduates of a colon hydrotherapy school have the option to work as an entrepreneur by opening independent practices, or may choose to work in partnership at a spa, clinic or other natural healthcare center.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in finding a colon hydrotherapy school, let career training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore career school programs near you.
