As parents, we are all looking for tips and tricks to helping our children excel in school. You want them to have fun, but you also want to squeeze in a little bit of learning whenever humanly possible. This is why educational coloring is such a cool concept. You choose worksheets and coloring pages that will help your child excel, while giving them complete freedom to do what they love the most- color!

Finding coloring books has never been a problem with my kids, but finding educational coloring books is a whole other ballgame. I wanted something that my kids could have fun with, and also learn numbers, shapes, logic, and concepts like classifying, sorting, and even matching.

Some of my favorite educational coloring pages are those that are purchased online, and for good reason. Unlike traditional coloring books, online versions can be printed over and over again, which saves you a ton of money in the long run. Most kids will find one or two pages out of a coloring book that they really love to color, so if you have the ability to print them out over and over again, imagine how happy your kids will be!

My favorite all time coloring book set is the COLORMY Method. The Method is a technique for turning a simple coloring exercise into a powerful, positive and fun learning experience. It has been developed using expert advice from educational specialists and psychologists and by testing on many children.

There are six key elements to the Method, these include:

- Igniting a natural love for literature, art and expression.
-Laying the foundation for formal schooling without the pressure of a formal learning program
-Constructing a comprehensive frame of reference for relating to the world at a critical stage in a child's early development
-Motivating children to want to learn independently in a fun self paced fashion
-Presenting a system which encourages children to be more productive and creative
Thanks to the help of preschool teachers, childcare workers and early childhood educators, the Method has been extensively refined and tested. Parents who have used the 10 preschool worksheets, preschool work sheets, and preschool skills worksheets workbooks report that their children experience increased mental vitality and creativity.

So if you want your child to exceed in the public school system, or maybe just become a better reader or logical thinker, then you really owe it to yourself to look into educational coloring books.

Why does my son look so much like my mother-in-law?
By: lovely | 12-09-2008
my son (2 years old) looks so much like my mother-in-law it is ridiculous. i mean its the weirdest thing. he has her bluish-green eyes her chestnut brown hair he even has her smile. he also looks like my husband to. i find it weird because he is biracial and he looks nothing like me except the fact that he has fair skin and his hair is curly but other than that you wouldn't be able to tell he was mine. for example last weekend me,my husband and his parents were at a restaurant and my mother-in-law was holding my son and the waitress come to the table and says to my mother-in-law "omg your son is so adorable." i got so upset (not at my mother-in-law i was just upset in general.) grrrr lol!!! some people keep telling me that he looks so much like her because when i was pregnant i was around her so much or i hated her. why does he look so much like her???????????
