With Google and Microsoft making new application that you can access via the internet the only thing you will need to store on your own computer will be pictures, videos, and articles. Everybody will soon be able to do everything from designing sites, creating graphics to things as simple as writing papers via web based applications. This is because of the language AJAX and the web surpassing Web 2.0 technology and going to the new Web 3.0.
Nowadays everybody always wants a bigger and bigger hard drive every time they get a new computer. They feel that this is needed as desktop applications are growing larger and larger in space requirements. Because of the new technology that exists today more than one user can access the same applications without it slowing down for everybody else.
I remember the first version of Windows by Microsoft maybe requiring 8 Megs on your hard drive. Now with Windows XP it is taking up more than 1 gig of my hard drive. I used to have to wait an hour to download a simple DOS gave that was only 2 Megs because of how slow modems were. Now I can probably download about 1 gig in an hour if I have a real quick broadband internet connection.
With the first computer that I had had a 40 Meg hard drive and I thought that I would never be able to use up that much space. Now, I have 2 hard drives one 100 Gig and the other 60 gigs and I constantly have to delete things that I no longer need because otherwise I will need to get a larger drive.
Technology is changing so fast these days. It used to be that maybe a new computer would come onto the market every year. Now I see new ones almost everyday. When I had a 486 DX66 I had 16 Megs of RAM which I thought was screaming fast. On my latest system I have just under 4 Gigs of RAM and think I may need to try upgrading to 8 gigs real soon. Maybe one of these days the US Space Shuttle will work based on a pentium instead of the snail slow system they currently use. Most of their problems are because of the old technology they use every day.

Wrong Number Marketing
By: Jeffrey A Solochek, I | 25/04/2008 | MarketingOver the years it has gotten harder and harder to find new effective ways to market your wares. With direct mail you may be lucky enough to get maybe a quarter of a percent positive response. If you use a little creativity and send a postcard with a picture of someplace like Hawaii and a message that looks hand written then maybe you'll get a 2 or 3 percent positive response. Blanket an entire zip code, sending out thousands of these post cards to maybe get 2 or 3 sales.

Our boss was making us work together on things and over time we found out we had a lot of things in common and for the next 3 years Phillip was my best friend. Big Promises and Little Returns
By: Jeffrey A Solochek, I | 14/01/2008 | InternetThis is what Web hosting is today. They promise enormous amounts of web space, unlimited bandwidth and a whole bunch of other things that nobody will ever use. How many of us have a site that needs over 1 gig of space or how about 10+ gigs of bandwidth each month. Then they offer us the ability to host all of our sites under one account, unlimited MYSQL databases, unlimited email accounts, scripts, blogs, and a host of other things that most people will never use unless maybe we are all the size of a walmart or something. They all promise us everything under the sun these days but when it comes time for us to get these things they disappear very quickly and we have to submit a ticket that somebody in India might answer
