Television is much more popular in homes today than it was thirty or forty years ago and many children these days spend hours in front of the television every day. The stars and planets are objects of amazement for children starting at a considerably young age and with all the programming relating to space and the stars and planets that are available on television make it easier for you as a parent to help your child further develop that love for astronomy. Help your child to learn more about the constellations, Earth, and everything beyond and they may grow up loving it so much that they end up pursuing a rewarding career in astronomy.
Sitting in front of the television everyday is probably not good for a child but decreasing the time that they watch useless programming and increasing the time that they watch educational shows can help them to gain at least a little bit from the time that they spend watching T.V.
