Effective Learner's Attributes -

You can learn how to be a great learner by internalizing some specific attributes. Here are some attributes of effective learners. These are self-directed, curious, self-aware, risk-taking and open-minded. Self-direction is important to the educational process. This takes intellectual effort to polish a skill, meaning you should engage your mind while in class or when doing the homework. In case you can imagine how a particular class or skill will assist you in the future, you may motivate yourself to be more pride in your everyday work. The learning process involves making links between disparate thoughts in your mind. In case you learn something in classes one day plus learn something connected to the first thought the next day, then you should be capable to relate the two common things to internalize them. When you have some trouble linking the dots, you should require people to assist you. Putting questions and being curious is basic to learning, as the process engaged in forming a question typically aids to crystallize a new idea in your mind. Being fair with yourself is necessary to learning. Lots of people, while fuzzy about a particular skill or concept, choose glossing over their fuzziness plus concentrate on something that is less complicated. This obstructs them in the process of learning. In case you become confused about something, you should admit you do not have all necessary answers and ask help. The admission can look tough, though it will eventually help you to be better at whatever you are attempting to accomplish.

Second language acquisition is the process by which people learn languages in addition to their native language(s). The term second language is used to describe any language whose acquisition starts after early childhood (including what may be the third or subsequent language learned). The language to be learned is often referred to as the "target language" or "L2", compared to the first language, "L1". Second language acquisition may be abbreviated "SLA", or L2A, for "L2 acquisition".
