He was color blind and was also developed very late. He was inspired by creative moments and spontaneous flashes of light that he saw that gave him these ideas as explained in his experiences.

At some point in his life at about 17 years he had polio which paralyzed him a great deal and the doctors thought that he would not make it.

He goes a head and narrates how he over heard doctors conversing with his parents on how he will not make it through the morning.

As her mother walked in the room Milton asked his mother to push the wall drop at an angle and the mother could not understand and thought he was delirious because of his difficulty in speech.

The mother could not believe that her son will not see the sun set the following day which tormented her seriously.

But due to the anger of wanting to see another day of the sun set is what sustained him and kept him alive.
