The entrance exam of IIT ie: IIT-JEE is considered as one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in India. To prepare for IIT-JEE, you have to clear and augment your concepts. All you have to do is to Endeavour to clear more and more concepts and finally to plan and strategize to emerge a winner. Planning One of the most important components to swiftly clear your IIT-JEE is rigorous planning. For that matter, it is very necessary to plan to crack any other competitive exam. To begin the preparations for any competitive exam, it is never too early. You can start your preparations as early as in class 10th or even before that if you are much focused. If you were not so enthusiastic about it in class 10th, after class 12th also you can focus all your energies on the preparations of the IIT-JEE. Clear your basic concepts First of all, know that all IIT aspirants at whichever stage they are in (either class 10th or above) should first make sure that their concepts are clear. The IIT entrance exam syllabus consists of three sections - physics, chemistry and mathematics, which are mostly from the class 11th and 12th syllabus. Make sure that while preparing for IIT, your basic concepts in each of these subjects (PCM) should be clear and in this class 11th and 12th syllabus will be your best guide. If you have just cleared you 12th board exam: Though there can be no one strategy or planning applicable to all students for IIT- JEE preparation, you can, definitely, take help or guidance from this. Clear your class 11th & 12th theory & concepts: The first is to revise and clear your theory and concepts of the entire 11th and 12th syllabus of all three subjects. You should be able to complete this in one-month time as you have already cleared your 12th board exam. Religiously follow the NCERT books. Try resolving all the questions contained in them while revising the theory. At the same, keep making notes of your weaknesses and strong points. After that, start working on your weak points in each subjects and topics. You can also take help of good personal tutor who can guide you on how to improve your weak points. Problem Solving: After you are through with class 11th & 12th theory & concepts, you should start solving entrance type questions in each subject from some good IIT-JEE guide or some other relevant study materials. Study those topics again in which your already gained knowledge is not enough to solve all questions. So, get your fundamentals clear in them. For developing problem solving skills, you can follow the same steps given above. Solve questions cyclically: In any subject you should first select a chapter and then solve some questions from it. After that, move on to next chapter. Solve questions from that chapter as well and continue this process until you get a hang of all the chapters. This way, you will be able to solve questions of all the chapters in that subject. Studying like this will help you in revising each chapter periodically. You can make a timetable on your calendar and study accordingly.
