UNICEF Gives Hope to People of Palestine

Education level is the first factor that determines the status of the country. It may not be a world centre of industry or information, but it is a source of qualified professionals that are the developers of the state. Some countries, especially countries of the third world do not have either possibility or opportunity to develop. People that create a nation, a powerful force are exhausted by wars, conflicts, action, terrorist acts and poverty. They have no strength to establish a solid system that is ruined by consequences of conflicts and extremist acts. Gaza is the region of Palestine that has become world famous due to frequent conflicts and shocking news about assassination and demolition. This region is called a "powder keg" for a fair reason. Everyone is shocked by the situation on the Middle East ands everyone is afraid of it to death. Ideological conflicts there never stop developing.

UNICEF has taken the problem for closer investigation and analyses. The only hope of every state is children that are nearly 70, thousand in Palestine. According to the results of the tests given to people of Gaza, only 30% of citizens are literate. This figure is very low and Palestine is at the bottom of the list formed according to education level. The number of educated citizen promises to decrease, as most of nation's hope dies either of hunger and maladies or is assassinated by extremists or military representatives. Palestine lives according to Sacred Commandments of Koran that was established long before Christianity. One of such laws forbids women to receive education and to exceed men in intelligence or power. The ideology is very strong and the majority lives according to this rule. But despite the cruel punishment for violation, women have the courage to stand up to such unfairness and get education to pull their country out of poverty. Except this problem Palestine suffers from lack of supplies and professionals. Teachers do not wish to come from abroad, for the situation is unstable and there is a risk and there is no possibility to coach teachers in Palestine. Supplies will be extremely hard to keep fro there is no building, no facility in the country that yet hasn't been touched by war. UN and UNICEF try to help and arrange kit deliveries to ease the life of citizen that lost their hopes for better life.

We can also play an important role in the solution of this problem. We have to stop being ignorant. We look rather careless pitying Palestinians and sitting in front of a TV. There are special funds for such purposes, where people donate to give others a chance to see what a life in peace means. Instead we hide behind our daily affairs and try to pretend that this is not our concern. We are all humans and have to be humane. People of Palestine haven't yet lost their hopes for better future, so we should not either. Besides, the reality is harsh not only in Palestine, but in every state. The task is to ease it for yourself and for others.
