Using Survival Tactics During Economic Trouble

Posted: Feb 19, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

If we continue to have economic trouble into the future and it gets worse, we should start to see more crime which may push us into using survival tactics. People will be desperate to get money to pay for stuff and will start to resort to stealing. This will take place in the form of robberies in convenience stores, burglary and home invasion.

This is something we all need to be aware of and be prepared for so we are not affected by this crime. You want to feel safe when you go out or at home and the last thing you want is to be caught up in some guy's criminal act. If you read about Argentina's economic trouble in the early 2000's, you will see they had a rise in crime that made it difficult to go out. You could be robbed on the street or your home robbed while you were out.

The people of Argentina had to take more drastic measures to protect themselves and their property. Many started carrying handguns with them when going out and they fortified the home with steel doors and bars on the windows to reduce the chance of someone getting in. Hopefully we don't come to this and can continue our life safely.

But we still need to be aware that we could have an increase in crime and personally prepare our homes and ourselves for this. Take a look around your home to see what you can do to take away any hiding spot a criminal could use. Are your doors secure from being kicked in, if not learn how you can strengthen them. Add some security lights outside that have a motion sensor. You can easily override the motion sensor with your light switch if you desire to keep them on all night.

Be aware of your surroundings when you go out so you may notice something that does not look right. If you feel uncomfortable follow your instincts, you may be wrong but at least you are taking precautions.
