Where Have All the Heroes Gone?

We consider the scientists, religious and politician leaders, musicians and other outstanding people to be the heroes. Their heroic doings inspire us to different achievements. We pass their stories through generations.
Nowadays we are inspired by survivors. They are our international example for imitation. They usually withstand but not act. And we have a deep respect for them to experience painful troubles.
We admire survivors on a chat show, we applaud their public speeches, we right them the exciting letters. Our stars are actors, writers, singers, who in fact try to fill our emotional void, list mood disorders, etc.
People are about to degrade, aren’t they?
Heroes tried to achieve a common goal, some life values, but survivors care of themselves only. And why do we admire them?
I suppose that trying to follow our survivors, we attempt to define social identities using our personal emotions. Our self-monitoring is to be understood as an attempt to realize the human condition.
Survivors take their weakness as their integral part which can’t be changed into the bravery. It is their permanent state which bring the great popularity. And under their influence we live in the constant state of emotionalism. But don’t you find this existence meaningless? We admire a person’s sickness, it is difficult to understand. And then we complain for our life to be hard and poor.
So, let’s pay attention to the people, who are really worthy of admiring. Following their examples we will surely change our life for better.
