“The high output voltage stability with low current noise was essential over the entire operating range of this design,” Said Paul Nickelsberg, Senior Engineer for Orchid Technologies. “Optimization of power supply size and weight were critical to the success of this ruggedized power supply.”
Brownout detection, over and under voltage protection and thermal protection was performed with an on-board power supply controller. In addition, advanced error detection and power supply status monitoring achieved extraordinary output performance from the design.
