7 Tips on How to Build an Effective an Opt In Page or a Squeeze Page

Everyone in the internet marketing world is saying that the money is in the list of subscribers.

Why is the list is so important?

When we do not have a list, we have to rely on paid traffic or free traffic for our  customers.

When you own a list, you own a list of targeted buyers.

You don't need to rely on search engine optimization or pay perclick cost or advertisements to get your customers.

When you have new products to offer,you can contact the person again for free.

One way to build your own list of subscribers , is to let your readers to Opt In to subscribe. An Opt in Page or a squeeze page is just a form that allow you to build a list of subscribers. 

Features of an Effective  an Opt in Page or Squeeze Page

1)Collect Just the name and email addresses

Your main goal in the Opt in Page is to collect a list of names and emails addresses . Do not ask too many questions in your Opt In Page. The more questions you ask in your Opt In Page, the likelyhood that your readers  will leave your page. 

2)Keep your Opt in Page or Squeeze Page free from too many things

Do not clutter your Opt In Page with too many things like pay perclick ads, sales offer or affiliates on this page. Keep them focus to opt in to your list. They should only see one thing and that is to sign up for the opt in. 

3) Offer them something free in exchange

In order to attract your readers to opt in, you may offer them something in exchange for their email address eg a free ebook, articles, audio or anything that is attractive to your readers. This kind of free offers will entice your readers to give their email address willingly and quickly .

4) Length of an Opt in Page or Squeeze Page

An opt in page need not be long  and a 300 words will be sufficient.

5) Good Headline

Another important aspect in your Opt in Page  is that you would need  a good headline to grab your customers attention.  A good headline  should be catchy, realistic  and not far fetched.  

6)Location of your sign up bar

Your sign up bar preferably should be on the right hand side. As most of the readers are right handed, therefore the location of the sign up bar will be more convenient  for them to put down their particulars.

 7)Gurantee Privacy

Most readers are wary of giving out their names and email addresses as they are afraid of receiving unwanted emails or their particulars will be given to somebody else. Therefore our opt in page should assured the readers that their privacy will be protected and that their names and email addresses will not be released to any other parties.
