Guide to Writing Marketing Emails

If you have decided to use marketing emails to help you sale your product or service then you will need an awesome email to send out. There are several ways to write the email so that it will sell the product quickly and easily. The idea is to create a sense of need. When people feel like they need a particular item then they are more likely to buy it than if they just wanted it. Additionally, you will want to put some passion into the writing. Doing this will make the reader feel as if the product is truly worth their time and money. There are a few more tips to help you write a marketing email that will truly sell your product and fill your inbox with 100s or 1000s of orders!

Use a Name We all prefer to be called by name rather than receiving a generic letter or email. This creates a feeling of knowing the person writing you and helps establish a relationship, even if it's not much of one. Add the person's name in the email as well as throughout the email and what you will have is an immediate connection with the reader. This is important if you are interested in selling your product or service. The best way to get a person's name to personalize the email with is through opt in emails. People will provide their name and email address and then this may be used in the email.

Talk This might sound confusing that you should "talk" in an email, but that is truly what you should do. Approach the writing of the email as if you were talking to your best friend about this product or service. Doing so will help you write in a way that is easy to read and that is compelling. Use first person and steer away from writing in a way that is dry or not very interesting. Make people want to read the email by using great words, providing testimonials, and examples to prove your product or service is what you claim it to be.

Paragraphs and Subheads You will also need to use short paragraphs and subheads throughout the email. Breaking the email up into short blocks of text will make it much easier to read and it will also help you sell more products. So, even if you don't like writing much it really is worth your while to format the email in a way that will be easy to read and will help you make more sales.

These are just a few tips to help you write a marketing email. It does take some time and effort to get the email just right, however it won't be too long before you become a pro. Not to mention, after the first email if you don't get a great response then you will be able to revise your email and try again.
