Email and social media integration appears to have reached mainstream, according to a survey that was released in January 2010.

In this article, you will find all the recent facts about social media and email from various surveys that clearly shows that email marketing service providers (ESPs) are increasingly adding features to integrate social media and email and that email marketers are going full throttle for social email marketing.

1) In its "2010 Marketing Trends" survey, ESP StrongMail found that 69% of surveyed email marketers will be integrating social media and email marketing this year.

2) In January 2010 ESP Silverpop looked back at the webinars it organized and other conversations it had with email marketers in 2009. Conclusion: “Email Marketing Goes Social” was the topic that appealed most to email marketers.

3) End 2009, Lyris CEO Luis Rivera said that there is a clear market demand for online marketing solutions that integrate email marketing with channels such as social media and mobile.

4) Also end 2009, ShareThis, found that sharing through email and social channels is driving more and more readers, and is an increasingly popular way to interact with our content.

5) ESP Emma found that social media and email marketing integration is on the rise. The email marketing service provider posted a nice slideshare about the issue, stating “social media and email marketing are best friends – and not just on Facebook”.

6) In November 2009, Responsys published an email marketing guide for online retailers that found email has become a strong component of retailers' efforts to grow their followings on social media such as Facebook and Twitter.  As of July, more than 30 percent of major online retailers were running "join our community" efforts in their email campaigns.

The conclusion is clear: 2010 is the year that social media and email are integrated.

Social email marketing is here and here to stay.

Cigar shops are many things to smokers. For those who can't smoke at home, these shops provide a place to enjoy a cigar. For those who simply want a better cigar than the ones available "over the counter" at mainstream stores, a cigar shop offers a great selection of high-quality cigars. Then there are those who are a mix of these demographics: people who enjoy smoking a well-made cigar in the company of fellow cigar smokers.
