Disabled Entrepreneurs Prove the Value of Being Green

Parabins, PABA, mineral oil, Oh My!  No it is not Dorothy in search of OZ, rather a strong participation by disabled entrepreneurs who are part of the organic, green, environmental movement.  Conscientious about what is put in their body many disabled entrepreneurs are spreading the word in a variety of businesses.

A new survey of fourteen questions can be found at www.adisabledentrepreneur.com.  Following a scoring process potential disable entrepreneurs are ranked to determine exactly how ready they are to start a new business.  Some will find they are not suited for this type of work, whereas others possess the right mix of talent, interest, passion, creativity, and willingness to help other disabled people succeed.

Daniel Flynn, 50, has diabetes and has suffered four strokes since 2003.  Flynn who uses a quad cane and wears a leg brace to off-set the drop foot common among stroke patients, has a new lease on life.  Flynn is quickly becoming a leading advocate for disabled entrepreneurs.  Having spent much of the past year identifying the qualities and characteristics of successful disabled entrepreneurs, Flynn has launched a detailed survey which helps disabled people discover if they are ready to create dynamic and financially successful lives.

There are numerous personality traits that provide clues as to who will (and will not) be successful. According to Flynn, “Too often people think they must sell something to succeed…in fact, we need to only teach others how to succeed.”  Businesses that offer passive income (residual commissions and high paying overrides) are considered best by Flynn.  Those who are social, personally, and even professionally, networked online also find entrepreneurialism much easier than some disabled people who are too often too isolated.

Flynn goes on to make specific suggestions about which business opportunities are best for disabled among those who tally a high enough score following the disabled entrepreneur survey. Flynn’s evaluation required that companies that work with disabled people are willing, friendly, receptive, and offer most training resources free of charge and online and support via a toll-free telephone number.  According to Flynn, “It was amazing how many organizations were trying to simply profit from the disabled by selling training collateral and material.  We also eliminated companies that had not been in business for decades because a company’s reputation is critical to the success of all entrepreneurs, especial the disabled entrepreneur.”

By: Kenneth Kaufman | 02/01/2010
Business partnerships are one of the most unique and trying relationships we will ever enter. Some work, but most fail. I did a quick test. Compared to only 143 million results for what I assumed would be the more common term of “business partner,” I think it is clear that many struggle to make these arrangements work.
