Entrepreneurs Need Moxie

After working for many years with entrepreneurs in all walks of business, I find that what separates the successful from the not-so-successful is attitude. Entrepreneurs who are going to make it big need to have moxie. Make no mistake; I am not saying that entrepreneurs need to be arrogant. No one wants to be around someone who is conceited, but a good dose of cockiness is in order for an entrepreneur to become wildly successful.

Without having a certain amount of moxie, an entrepreneur won’t have the guts to take a risk, go to an event or try something new. If you have a personality that is wary of risk and prone to playing it safe, starting your own business may not be the right path for you.

If, however, you find that you are dynamic and confident in new situations and you are comfortable in different and unfamiliar situations, entrepreneurship might be your calling. There are exceptions to every rule. For instance, many people can quickly gain confidence with something new by letting go of their fear of being wrong and unleashing their playful curiosity and creative problem solving abilities. This kind of person would also be a good entrepreneur. The time it will take them to achieve a flourishing business will be dependent on their learning curve and how soon they will be willing to make a bold move.

If you believe that entrepreneurship is for you, then you are right. If you also know that you can be timid and overly worrisome where your career is concerned, I suggest upping your moxie level by listening to self-help tapes. These positive voices can live in your head long after you are finished listening to them. Do activities to overcome your fears like taking an improvisation class. Attend seminars focused on confidence building and motivation. Get involved, and take leadership positions. Do daily affirmations. Committing positive thoughts and goals to paper can boost your morale and your self-esteem.

Anyone can own their own business, but to become a successful entrepreneur it takes a good amount of moxie. Thinking that you will succeed creates an aura that is tangible and attractive to others. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy that creates success. For more information about how you can up your moxie level, visit www.flourishingbusiness.com.

Why am i such a loner. is perfring to be alone bad ...
By: Lenniebens | 15-07-2008
why am i such a loner. is perfring to be alone bad? i love being around people. but im shy so i barely say anything. which is weird because im usually really hyper and goofy. at least with my family. but i care too much about wat people think of me. so i get nervous and have like a social anxiety attack, so i like to be by myself. plus when ever my friends  text or call me, i never answer, unless its my boyfreind. im in clubs and stuff but its hard to participate. im used to not getting my voice heard so i jus like to listen to others opinions. ive never really been much of a talker i guess. im not sure what im asking. lol. umm maybe jus some feed back/

HEALTHY GUY: My somewhat of a friend of 1 1/2 yrs ...
By: doitright | 15-07-2008
HEALTHY GUY: My somewhat of a friend of 1 1/2 yrs became my boyfriend 6 months ago. We are exclusive, committed, both have kids. He is younger than I am (BY TEN YEARS!), but very smart and mature. He doesn't "court" me so-to-speak. I've missed a lot of that 'you are special enticements from the guy'!!! Over the years, I've had a ton of fakes with flowers and gestures. I think this man is exactly what I want. We have both expressed wanting to be married again, that we are loyal to each other. SO WHY.............do I look for things to be wrong that he may not even be aware he is doing or not doing. (MOSTLY...I don't let him know I feel these things... and try to let it pass. My past is full of abusive men; and I'm trying not to let that carry over and deal with it.) If I am always available, and all things are good in his mind.....why should he do anything different? If I become a little more unavailable, and maybe even go away (give myself time to think too) maybe this will be a tell-tale sign for both of us. Does he care? Is he serious about me...or flippant? In between though...... I need an exercise to calm myself down when the anxiety comes around. Thanks

Secret Lover/Friend
By: MiamiTemp | 08-07-2008
I'm a 25 y/o female from Miami. I've been involved with a man romantically for a year and a half but nobody knows about our relationship. I can't go into detail about why we have to keep this a secret. He's not married or anything but if people found out then it could hurt his career, etc. I had known for a few years before we started anything sexual but had fallen for him way before that. When the opportunity presented itself I took it and things have been very hot with him since then. However, he has no idea how much I care about him. We were always friends, so I know he gets that much but I'm scared that if he found out that I was in love with him our relationship would change. It kills me not to be able to tell this guy that he's everything to me. I've had my share of relationships, whether it has been boyfriends, friends with benefits or whatever but this is completely throwing me off track in my life. I know he recently started seeing another woman, but the terms of our current relationship are strictly "friends with benefits" so I can't really say anything. The other woman has no idea that me and him have the type of sexual relationship that we do. She thinks we are just friends. I love having this secret, but at times it gets difficult. I get sad at times when I think that he is waking up next to her and not me. He'll swing by my house, we'll hook up and then he'll go over to her house for a movie. It sucks and I'm not quite sure how to handle it. I don't want it to end, I want him to know how I feel but I can't bring myself to tell him. Anyone got any words of wisdom?
