Internet Business Success Factors
Why Do A Few People Succeed While So Many Others Fail?

We’ve all heard about the huge amounts of money there is to be made on the Internet. At the same time we know that very few people who try to make money online actually succeed to the point of being able to support themselves and their families. So what is it that makes that difference between success and failure?

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS
Websites promising overnight wealth are seductive, they assure us that no experience with business, hosting operations or technical jargon is necessary. Just buy their books, courses or videos and you too will soon be driving a $100,000.00 sports car, with just a couple of hours a day of work. Well it’s been said before and I’ll say it again “If it sounds too good to be true it probably isn’t”!

This is where successful people differ from the want-to-be’s. Like us they know that there is no such thing as overnight success. The difference is they resist temptation and look for solid opportunities. They are also willing to take the time to become successful. If it’s going to take 2 to 5 years to become wealthy so be it. When you stop to think about it, it takes 3 years to get through university and probably 2 – 4 years of working your way up in your career to a point where you are making a decent living. Why does 2 to 5 years seem like too much to invest to becoming wealthy? Even the people that are advertised as overnight successes usually spent years in trial and error efforts before they learned what worked, applied it for some time and then became successful. Does this mean it is not possible for us to make lots of money in an online business? Absolutely not! It just means it is not possible to make big money overnight.

SIMPLIFIED PROCESS
Psychologists tell us that “nothing succeeds like success” and this is especially true for successful entrepreneurs. What this means is that you start by building one small easy to set up, easy to manage business. Learn what works and what doesn’t in promoting your business. Then add to your small successful business making it a bigger successful business and add on to it again or add a second, third or fourth business. Going from making $500.00 per month to 5 million a year is all about building one success upon another adding layers of products and promotion and even new businesses every step of the way. While you’re earning you’re learning how to earn more and more.

Instead of spending enormous amounts of time and money going through the trial and error of establishing your own product, start building your success with a product that is a proven winner. Why reinvent the wheel when someone else has already done the market research, developed the product, written the sales copy and tested the waters. In the real world setting up a proven winner could be a franchise program. Everything is laid out for you and the smallest detail has been tested before you even begin. This is as close to a guarantee of success as you can possibly get. But a franchise can cost as much as $100,000.00 or more. Online you can have the same advantages of a proven winner with an affiliate arrangement and it doesn’t cost anything.

Other advantages to an affiliate business are that you don’t have to set up to accept payments, deliver products or warehouse inventory. You can arrange to become an affiliate for as many products as you want and multiply your income streams. But, the biggest advantage for a new entrepreneur is the simplicity of the business and promotion process.

Internet business can be complicated and confusing for those without any experience in the technical jungle. Starting off with the simplest format and the easiest promotional techniques allows you to learn while you earn. With a strong foundation business established you can delve into more complex business models with the money to hire experts and consultants to assist with the next success.

10 Philosophies of the Ant - Hard Work Always Pays Off
By: David Allred | 13/10/2008
There are only 24 hours in a day. We all get those same 24 hours right? So, whether you get rich or whether you get broke is a measure of what you have done with your 24 hours. Success, the same as failure, doesn’t happen overnight or in one swift decision. It happens by one small act or failure to act, duplicated over and over, for a period of time! Work requires action rather than sweat. Work requires productivity rather than the ability to just stay busy.
