The Home Based Business Phenomenon

The idea of starting a new home based business is thrilling, exciting, a little scary, and of course potentially lucrative. It seems that almost everyone with an internet connection has at least tried one form of a home based business or another. What sets you and your work at home business apart from the tire kickers and the business hoppers? Everyone wants to make more money. What is going to set you and your home based business apart?
The home based business phenomenon has produced both millionaires and frustrated “wanna be” entrepreneurs. Starting off right can mean the difference between the two. When you are choosing a business, choose a business with real potential in order to reap the fabulous rewards that earning a living from home can provide. In fact, those who want to make more money have a statistically positive shot at achieving their financial goals through a part time work at home business. What does that mean?
We already know there are more home based businesses out there on the internet than you could possibly research in a year. We already know that every internet marketing business will tell you that they are the best. And of course, we already know that once you sign up, most companies graciously take your money and then really aren’t interested in whether you do well or not. The vast majority of home based business are not interested in your goal to make more money. This venture should be one that improves the quality of life. When you are researching a work from home business, ask yourself if you believe that the business you are considering will make your life better in one way or another. Does it have a product that will enhance your life? Does it seem to have a community of people that will enhance your life? Does the pay plan seem reasonable and attainable and worth the effort? Will it help you make more money? When these answers start becoming clear to you, then you will have most likely found the right business for you.
A home based business offers a tremendous opportunity to become the boss of your own financial and emotional health. In many ways, these opportunities have opened new doors for people with disabilities, health problems, and those who are simply suffocating in the nine to five work—a—day world. For all that these home based opportunities offer, if it could be accomplished in just a day or two, nobody would be working in offices any longer. Thus, as you are selecting your home based business, you are going to need to find something that you can go after with vigor for longer than a week.
There are vast numbers of experts in the field. Of course, there are experts who will tell you to work with only the longest standing companies around, using the company’s credibility as your own. There are other experts who tell you that jumping head first into every new opportunity on the market, building it as fast as possible, and then moving on to the next one is the only way to build a long lasting residual income. If you look hard enough, you can find an expert to tell you just about anything you want to hear. They have all already succeeded and their methods worked well for them. You won’t make more money following conflicting advice.
Just like too many cooks in the kitchen can ruin a good recipe, too many experts meddling in a good thing can kill off a perfect opportunity. While educating yourself is one vital aspect of building a home based business, it can be easy to slip into the idea that reading everyone’s opinions for a year and a half will help you get a jump on your business—when you finally get involved in one. Read, learn, decide what is right for you, and take action. These are the vital steps in making your home based business work for you.
You can trust yourself to know the right process for you. While all these experts may offer conflicting advice, their advice does work—for someone. They might not be offering you valuable information, and you can determine whose words ring true for you and whose simply do not.
We have narrowed down that we want to minimize the tire kicking, find a business that you can work with long term, and educate ourselves while taking the appropriate steps toward earning income. While these may seem like some vary simple to apply aspects of home based business building, they are now always easy to apply. Especially once you start looking. There will always be another business out there claiming to be better and faster and more lucrative. Trust in your own ability to make decisions for yourself, stick to your business, and prevent the syndrome of perpetual business hopping in order to start making a profit.
Learning your new business can be a lot of fun if you take the pressure off a little bit. Those who set goals, who take daily action, and who learn a little something about their business every day are the ones who find that they can make a home based business work for them. Those who set extreme goals, who place the family’s mortgage payment on the line, and who decide that they need to be financially free within a month generally don’t do very well. The human brain doesn’t operate well under this sort of pressure and these unrealistic guidelines. You are supposed to be changing your life for the better, right? So take part of every day and use it wisely as it relates to your business. Over the period of three to six months, you will start to see some of the positive changes you have envisioned for yourself, and you will have a lot more fun getting there.
You have the power to change your life. You have to make the decision, take action, and have a little fun along the way. You have the intuition to determine which company will help you reach all of your goals, not just your financial goals. And of course, you have the ability to become one of the success stories of a home based business entrepreneur.

I know of IRC software support rooms and http://qunu.com but I am looking for something more advanced, for instance a database where you can tag yor question (without writing it, tags alone), leave your IM details, take advantage of a tag-matching system like here on Yedda and wait to be contacted on your personal IM client.
