It was in the year 1906 that the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto came up with a mathematical formula which has since transformed many businesses and people's lives. What Vilfredo Pareto found in his studies was the fact that 20% of the Italian population had 80% of the money. When Vilfredo Pareto continued on a search, he soon found the same proportions in other countries.
What we now know about the 80/20 rule is that it equates to many things. And it all boils down to 20% of your work producing 80% of your results. And this is a fact which many people do not know, and of those who do know the 80/20 rule few apply it.
