What is the Right Home Business for Me?

I have always known that I wanted to work for myself. My dad had his own business and I watched him become very successful. I also saw him at the lowest of lows. My dad’s business was a traditional “brick and mortar” company. He provided a product to people. When I decided to work for myself, I felt like I had to have a product or service in a store front in order to make it real. After years of looking I figured out that it wasn’t necessarily true.

So what is the answer? Marketing. I found out that no matter what business you decide to involve yourself in, you have to have marketing. Without it, all you have is a business with no customers. I found that marketing is a business all in its own. You can be a marketer and sell anything you want.

So what does it take to be a marketer? Not much. With the internet, marketing is everywhere. Surf the internet for an hour and try to count how many ads, promos, banners or references for products or services. Chances are, you won’t be able to count them all. Are all of these people experts with millions of dollars? Sometimes they are, however, most of what you see is put out there by a regular person that has a product or service that they want people to see. There are thousands of stories of regular people striking it rich using online marketing.

There are tons of “free” marketing avenues for someone who wants to start into the world of online marketing. The word “free” is in quotes because in my experience, nothing is free. It will take either time or money. If you have more time than money, some of the programs will work very well for you. It’s all a matter of your drive and commitment.

I started out as a welder so that I could work for my dad. That didn’t work out like I planned so here I am today, a successful internet marketer, living my dreams, owning my own business(es), calling the shots.

So the answer to the initial question: What is the right home business for me? It doesn’t really matter! Find something that you enjoy and believe in, commit to it, and then start marketing. With 500 million people on the internet, odds are good that somebody will want to buy what you are selling! So go for it and as always HAVE FUN!!

Real Estate Investing - the Perfect Scenario
By: Brian L. Thomas | 10/09/2007 | Real Estate
Most people haven’t got a clue when it comes to investing. I used to fit in that category. The part is that you don’t have to be because there are people out there to teach you. One of the directions I found is Real Estate. The market across the country is prime for investors right now. Some areas are a little more prime than others. Colorado seems to be leading the curve for the rest of the nation so I will focus on the Denver area for the purpose of this article.

What Does it Take to Sell a Home in This Market?
By: Brian L. Thomas | 18/06/2007 | Real Estate
In the current housing market; specifically in the resale homes, it takes more than dropping a sign in the front yard and proclaiming, “Come one, come all. Buy this home!” The keys to a successful home sale are price and salability. Price is pretty self explanatory on the surface; but I’ll get into the details. Salability is the ability to be sold.
