I'm not talking about the temperature of the world because everyone knows that the earth is getting hotter- Al Gore surely knows that. I'm asking whether or not the world is personal or impersonal: friendly or not. The real question should be are WE (its inhabitants) friendly or not- to the earth, the world? I think we know that answer all too well.
F. David Peat writes, " We are born into this universe, we grow up, we work, we play, fall in love, and at the ends of our lives, face death." Nothing wrong with those set of facts; however, what's the purpose of all that? Who are we and what's the meaning of life anyway? If we knew would it change our behavior? The world is getting smaller and we best get to know our neighbors- the planet!
Most scientists see the universe as a physical process is meaningless.
God, I hope not, but Steven Weinberg (cosmological physicist) says, "I believe that what we have found so far- an impersonal universes which is not particularly directed towards human beings- is what we're going to continue to find." I sure hope he's wrong. This goes to the heart of two divergent thought patterns. Are we increasing in consciousness or not? The answer to that question is absolutely YES!
David Hawkins has done decades of research in psychokinesis has documented that he believes the collective consciousness has jumped from below 180 (on a scale of 1,000) to over 200 in just the last 2 decades or so. Regardless of the technical measurements, while there are still many pockets of uncivilized behaviors, humanhood is coming into a more mature consciousness and I fully expect to see an exponential jump in that over the next five years.
Can you say 2012?
We are slowly coming to grips with our binary thought processes and realizing that we must move out of the dualistic thinking that creates a destructive "us vs them", wherein "them" is always wrong and the "us" is always right. This isn't deep rocket science stuff. We are ONE and the sooner we can come to grips with what that means, the quicker we can see that the only unfriendly or alien aspects to this world are we humans who are fast destroying our environment- this living universe.
Our far-out environment is coming to a theatre near us sooner than we think and only an increased consciousness of the masses can prevent dire consequences.

By: Dr.Badruddin Khan | 06/10/2008
Radioactive elements have a lot of important uses and they also cause some dangerous problems if they are not handled properly. Ever since Henri Becquerel first found out about radioactive elements more elements have been investigated for their radioactivity, and different isotopes of elements have different radioactive behavior. Many are used commercially and medically, and others are just nuisances.
Acid Deposition
By: Dr.Badruddin Khan | 06/10/2008
Acid rain has become a popular phrase to describe rain, snow, fog, or other precipitation that is full of acids that collect in the atmosphere due to the burning of fuels such as coal, petroleum, and gasoline. Acid rain occurs when polluted gases become trapped in clouds that drift for hundreds and even thousands of miles and are finally released as acidic precipitation. Trees, lakes, animals, and even buildings are vulnerable to the slow wearing away effects of acid rain.
