Is it a friend or is it an enemy, this land and sea born predator is killing wildlife in both the oceans and on the land. There are currently billons of plastic bags on every check out, in every store, everywhere worldwide and where will they end up?

Millions of plastic bags are manufactured every year and then carelessly disposed of and end up at the local land fill site and this in turn creates massive problems for the local wildlife. Currently only 10% of plastic bags are bio-degradable and the other 90% are getting buried releasing toxic gasses and chemicals into the land. We harmless load our shopping and groceries into these useful everyday items that are used thought the household and then disposed of into our landfill sites, oceans, beaches, and countryside taking hundreds of years to degrade.

Most landfills sites are based near the sea, these coastline wastelands are a horrible site to look at and very noisy to live near. Ruining the natural environment and the wildlife that resides there plastic bags also create problems in the sea. Figures have been reported that each square mile of the ocean contains more than 46 thousand bits of plastic.

Throughout the Caribbean turtle populations are been jeopardised by the viciousness of the plastic bag. The world's currents attract these monsters that then prey on innocent defenceless marine animals. The bags are been found round the necks of dead turtles and in the digestive systems. Other wildlife is also affected as they destroy a huge numbers of seals, seabirds and whales.

Are we prepared to end our relationship with the plastic bag when after all they are so useful and what will it take to replace it? The supermarket giants are striving to replace the placing bag with a greener option for a throwaway culture and you should be to.

Dosage for namenda
By: Peter | 16-07-2008
husband has been put on Namenda 5 mg P.O. BID - has dimentia, currently taking aricept 10 mg per day - Dr advised adding the namenda to his aricept to help with the dimentia. I am reading that the dosing instrctions from the internet stating 5 mg tab every day for one week, followed by 5 mg morning and one at night the second week, then 10 mg every morning then 5 mg tab night for the third week, 10 mg tab every morning and night for the 4th week and afterwards - yet prescription given to us yesterday states 5 mg P.O. BID with (#60 tabliets) meaning we get 60 tabs each month. My question is as follows - with the sixty @ 5 mg each tab does that mean he will take 2 tabs each day which would equate to 60 tabs - I am confused
