Get a Full Body Workout in Ten Minutes!

Author: Lance Davidson Author Ranking Blue | Posted: 19-01-2008 | Comments: 0 | Views: 71 | Rating:  (119) Article Popularity - Blue (?) Got a Question? Ask.

With all the exercise machines and equipment out there, how do we know what the best equipment is? One piece of equipment that is intriguing is the vibration machine. Whole body vibration technology was actually invented by Russian and American Astronauts to meet their exercise needs when in space. If you are living in zero gravity, your muscles and bones get the message that they are not needed. The result is a loss of muscle mass and bone density.

The whole body machine actually simulates gravity. Low frequency vibrations with low magnitude force actually helps build muscle and bone strength. The vibrations are created by a mechanically vibrating platform and transmitted to the body through the feet and hands. The body responds to this stimulus with a stretch reflex. This is a reflexive adjustment happening in the brain, which makes it healthier. This machine has been used by such stars as Madonna and Shaquille O’Neal. That is not surprising with a price tag of $10,000. However, there are more inexpensive machines out there. Two of the most notable vibration exercise machines are the Power Plate and the Solo Flex Whole Body Vibration Platform.

This exercise machine is great for older individuals as well. It makes working out easier because one can get a full body workout in 10 minutes. Whole body vibration has been researched for 100 years and yields many benefits such as:

-Increased muscles strength, flexibility and range of motion
-Improved balance and coordination
-Improved circulation and blood flow
-Improved muscle strength and tone
-Faster weight loss
-Increased bone strength and density
-Works all muscle groups
-Improved posture and bodies positioning

This exercise machine can be helpful for your bones, muscles, hormones, neurotransmitters, blood vessels and cartilage. For a short workout that can benefit your body and mind, this machine sounds like the ideal addition to your home gym. Now you can have a piece of equipment that is used by your favorite stars!
