Capturing the Uniqueness of Street Buskers

One of so many impressive things for me is the routine of some talented people who have the ability to entertain others in a public place. They are the street buskers. I admire their totality when they perform their stunt, including their unique costume, great stunt and interesting instruments. These street buskers had left an exotic impression in my mind. It made me curious with the story behind their costume.

I believe that everything (and everyone) has the stories. When I kept an eye on these amazing Sydney’s street buskers, I was keen on discovering more information about their daily routine in and off their “costume.” Most of the time, I traveled along with them. Even if they had to live nomadically (ride and live in a car), I would stick with them and try to get the picture of their life.

At that time, many people asked me why I captured their picture of life and what made it so special. I knew why they asked me such question; it was hard for them to see the uniqueness of their surrounding, and this street busker’s performance was just something ordinary for them. Furthermore, perhaps it was out of their impression and sensibility radar due to their “interest.”

Finally, that question motivated me to find more information about their life and all of its uniqueness. Evidently, after I finished and packed my artwork through an exhibition in a gallery, many people were amazed and curious with the other side of these street buskers’ life that was captured through my lens. The people, who had asked me “why” and not been attracted to the performance, finally became enthusiastic in embracing the street buskers’ story and interested in their performance.

A piece of story with these street buskers becomes a memoir as to bear witness of my “faith”, the moment and nuance of a happening is very important. In photography, nuance of a happening is important, for there is no moment will happen twice though we have tried to make it happens through a reconstruction. We do not need a high and fabulous technique. If we have mastered the basic technique of photography, the next step to take is to stimulate our sensibility, point of view and way of thinking, to be finally sensible of every moment and its nuance. Furthermore, our technique will be automatically improved when we practice more and more on capturing moments and enjoy the process in enthusiasm and sincerity.

By: dioniso ferlini | 26/11/2009
Coats, scarves and hats will be back in fashion in December in Costa Rica because, according to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), the end of 2009 will be as cold as in recent years. In addition, Solano said that windy conditions could affect wind chill in December and make people think that temperatures are lower than they really are in Costa Rica. What Costa Ricans consider cold and what people who live in colder latitudes consider cold are two different things.

New Construction Techniques for Commercial Buildings

By: Daniel Kreimer | 26/11/2009 | Construction
The design of housing blocks is without doubt one of the most interesting and attractive subjects of contemporary architecture. This is because in these projects the architects face some of the most serious conflicts generated by present-day society: the problem of high density development in large cities, the shortage of development land and the degradation of quality of life due to factors such as acoustic and environmental pollution.

3D Primitives Into Nurbs Surfaces

By: Daniel Kreimer | 26/11/2009 | Visual Art
All the standard primitives can be converted into NURBS surfaces by going to the Modify panel, clicking the Edit Stack button and choosing Convert to NURBS Surface. This only works if no modifiers have been applied to the primitive. If you can dream it, you can build it using NURBS.

What Modeling Technology do you Prefer?

By: Daniel Kreimer | 26/11/2009 | Visual Art
What is the final output supposed to be? If your model is going to be examined either in a still frame or very closely during the course of an animation, you either want to take the complex modeling approach or use high-resolution bitmaps for textures. For models that are moving quickly through a frame of animation or are in the distance, lower detail should be your choice.

Non-uniform rational basis spline (NURBS)

By: Daniel Kreimer | 26/11/2009 | Visual Art
Because Non-uniform rational basis spline (NURBS) can actually incorporate simple shapes to build complex geometry, there are some handy techniques that you can use when you are building NURBS objects. When using Point curves, you can reduce the overall amount of computing resources taken up by the model by keeping the number of points relatively low. In other words, do not add any extra points if the shape does not need it.

Polygonal modeling excels at low detail or architectural models. Because polygonal models are made up of faces, you will find that they are very easy to edit and animate when you are working on a relatively low-detail model.

Resources for Architectural Modeling

By: Daniel Kreimer | 26/11/2009 | Visual Art
Architectural models tend to be large, that is, contain a high number of faces and vertices. It is imperative that you develop good modeling habits to minimize the complexity of your models. Try to avoid becoming obsessive about a high degree of accuracy.

Tricks To Tell Your Twins Appart

By: Daniel Kreimer | 26/11/2009 | Parenting
Most children one day ask about what they were like as babies. For twins, remembering each twin's milestones and unique moments helps them feel special and individually loved. I recommend a blank baby journal or one with pre-printed fill-in-the-blank questions and headlines.
