Many families want the assurance that staying at a luxury game lodge for a family bush break is a good idea as they aren't fully aware of the activities on offer. What does the lodge have to offer in terms of the game lodges facilities that are available for the whole family, from little johnny to grandpa joe.
Game lodges/reserves in South Africa have many great deals on offer, and this is why I love to travel in South Africa and stay at these fine establishments, often 5 Stars :) Over the years I have grown more and more fond of staying at luxury game lodges or luxury safari lodges where the elephants and antelope will come to your window to spy on your sheltered chalet in the middle of a dry forest. Floor to ceiling glass windows and doors amek the experience safe and comfortable in such a new location instead of our community abodes.
My favourite game lodges and safari lodges offer fantastic bush break experiences for families with children of all ages and with a wide variety of interests and activities from game drives, game walks, bird watching, flora and fauna studies and lovely meals.
Children are actively involved in their own trails and educational actitivities while the rest of us adults are encouraged to enjoy the exhilerating rush of a game drive, spoor tracking and even hiking. I love game viewing on horseback and this is something I always take part in!
Nothing can quite beat the excitement of a holiday coming up where I know I am going to be able to enjoy 4-star luxury and still relish in the absolute beauty of the African bush.
