We are going to look in detail on each and determine how to effectively use the. 1.    Websites, web pages, blogs & on-line forums Most of these have their content available to the public with access to internet. Websites may appear as walls which only present what the author wanted without encouraging participation from readers. This has been overcome by development of blogs which gives an opportunity for interaction between author and readers or between readers as well. This helps create a community sharing same interests. Blogs & on-line forums are also good in archiving information for easy retrieval. 2.    Emails: This is a relatively informal form of communications between friends and professional colleagues. It has however grown to be a great tool due to its viral nature. You can write whatever you want in personal emails but when it becomes official, all rules formal communication apply. Most of us may forget and engage in the usual chatty emails which are unprofessional and may lead to loss of golden opportunities when being used for business correspondents. 3.    Mailing lists & special-interest groups Unless copied and redistributed, this allows control and management of information to the intended readers only. The articles published are on limited-circulation making it therefore appropriate to reach other like minded subscribers. The information provided is mostly informative or entertaining and exclusive to members only. The web being open to many who may not share your viewpoint means there are as much enemies as there are friends. Always try never to be malicious, untrue or inaccurate.
