They split up in 1948 with Adi forming Adidas and Rudi forming another shoe company. The name Adidas is formed from "Adi" (a nickname for Adolf) and "Das" (from "Dassler"). Adidas provides a wide variety of products to customers worldwide. One of the main focuses of Adidas is football kit and associated equipment. Their football boots and team kits are widely used by top professional club teams. Adidas remain a major player in the supply of team kits for international football teams.
