CURLS founder brings hair care to multi-ethnic women, girls

Even at a young age, Mahisha Dellinger realized the challenges of dealing with her naturally curly hair. She’d try one product after another, each promising a solution in managing hair of her type. Rarely, though, was she satisfied, and over time she grew impatient with the high cost of getting sub-standard results.

What Dellinger eventually realized was that the products she was using were not created with her hair type in mind. She, like many multi-ethnic women and girls, had hair that required specific treatment in order maintain a certain level of manageability.

So she took matters into her own hands.

Tinkering with various kitchen concoctions, Dellinger experimented until she found a blend of homemade coconut oil treatments, jojoba moisturizers and leave-in conditioners that left her natural African-American curls with the bounce and shine she’d been seeking. Soon, friends and family began to request samples of her homemade hair care products, and the foundation of the CURLS hair care product line was formed.

CURLS products contain a unique blend of natural oils and quality ingredients such as aloe leaf juice, panthenol, mango, shea and murmur butter, and introduce a patent-pending ingredient derived from the primary lipid found at the hair surface that restores, protects and replenishes hair. That formula, along with Dellinger’s zealous push to provide multi-ethnic women with hair care products for their naturally curly hair, eventually grew to worldwide popularity, and now CURLS products are used and endorsed by celebrities such as Halle Berry, Rachel True, Ashanti, and Debbie Morgan.

And perhaps as a tribute to her younger days, when Dellinger first began facing the challenges of managing her naturally curly hair, CURLS also features a product line for girls – Curly Q’s for Kids. Made with natural humectants, organic moisturizers, and curl enhancers, Curly Q’s for Kids and the many other revolutionary curly hair products made by CURLS, are available at curls.biz, the online home for getting effortless, frizz-free curls for multi-ethnic women and girls.
