Talking about the fabrics and techniques used, Puneet enlisted, "I take every theme as an unusual experiment and experience. Maya is just the perfect combination of appealing textures and design elements. The fabrics used are satin in burnout effect, premium georgettes and crepes, jacquard and like. We have also employed digital printing." An experimental flair, use of myriad colors and patterns make up Maya. Ornamental designs, layers, shadows and contrasting elements render Maya a bold graphic look. Puneet also suggests bold and innovative ways to drape the conventional sari in novel ways to bring about the design sense of pieces in Maya. "The sari must be draped in a manner that can reveal the best form of a woman. The style of the draping depends upon the occasion, as for weddings, it is usually traditional drapes as against a cocktail reception where one can experiment with interesting drapery."
