Swatch 2009 New Launch --- "bull's on Parade" Memento Wristwatch for the New Year

As 2009 is the Year of Ox in Chinese Zodiac, in order to celebrate the arrival of the Year of Ox, Swatch launched its "Bull's on Parade" series wristwatch for the New Year’s memento, and the proposed price for this swatch is RMB2200 yuan.

As inspired from robust bull, Swatch adopted gold-colored plastic Gent dial, matched with translucent silicone wristband on which printed with red Chinese words "Bull's on Parade". In Chinese tradition these two colors are all stands for rich and happy, with this indication Swatch wish each person who wear such a watch could gain a good beginning.

The plastic Gent watch which represents for a prosperous future in the Year of Ox, which fitted with a translucent silicone wrist wrap, on which there are several robust bulls outlined in different figures via imitated ink wash strokes.

Among the interval spaces of these bull figures, there are printed with four red Chinese words that eye-catching, they are: Jin(Gold), Niu(Bull), Da(Great), Ji(Lucky). The transparent plastic watch case and the silicone wristband formed a delightful contrast, and the audacious patterns on the watchband also matched well with the gold sunshine striped watch dial, and there are no numbers or scales to indicates hours, it only use gold engraved hour hand and minute hand as well as a slender red second hand to indicates time.

In addition to colors of interphased gold and red, on which there also printed with bull figures via water ink strokes, thus creates great interests.

Another high point of this Swatch special wristwatch designed for the Year of Ox celebration is its unique packing. As to echo this special watch which full of lucky and auspicious meanings, Swatch used the same color combination of bright red and gold, thus to transfer blessings of good wishes for the New Year’s good luck and a prosperous future.

In addition, Swatch specially designed a wishful abacus(in Chinese tradition, abacus often been used to represents wealth), on which whose partly red abacus beads were decorated with well-marked patterns of black Ox head and Chinese word "Niu"(bull), with which to intensify again the good wishes for a lucky and wishful future in the year of Ox.
