L’Oreal Paris celebrated its 100 years of existence on 7th of July in Mumbai. At the occasion the Gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan inaugurated 'Beautiful Beginnings' A generosity project by L'Oreal) at I Lead, Khar Danda Village. Just to let you know, 'Beautiful Beginning' is an NGO specialized in free vocational training and Education in Beauty to the underprivileged.
It's a partnership between L'Oreal India and Aide etc Action. If we are willing to forget the recent racist allegations on the cosmetic giant in France, their home turf, we can acknowledge the fact that the brand has set a good example for others by serving people and supporting generosity projects aimed at helping those less fortunate, in more than 60 countries!
The idea is to train at least 200 unprivileged urban girls (school drop-outs) every year from Pune and Mumbai in order to make them employable. Beautiful Beginnings offer a four month's course with equipments that covers Hair Cuts, Colour, Care, Styling, Skin Care Facials, Threading, Waxing, Bleaching and Manicure and Pedicure training. They also promise to help these girls in getting employed afterwards.
Aishwarya interacted with the students of the training school and said, "Beautiful Beginnings is a project which is close to my heart and I am happy to be its Patron. I connected with it instantly. When some of us are blessed with what we receive in life in terms of opportunities, it becomes wonderful to spread that around. I think it's a fantastic idea. I am proud to belong to such a family."
"The L'Oreal generosity projects have often focused on Women and Education. Since the past seven years we have been promoting the scientific education of women in Maharashtra with our 'For young women in Science' program" said Jacques Challes, Managing Director, L'Oreal India. What could be a better way to celebrate the 100th anniversary than supporting the most vulnerable communities on a local level? It's an inspiration for other luxurious brands to take such concrete initiatives for our country.
