Motivation
There is one factor that is responsible for keeping people on the move i.e. money. We are constantly trying to improve our standard of living so that we can use the increasing number of amenities available to us. Modern gizmos are reason for a great deal of temptation. In order to satisfy these desires, we are constantly trying to make some extra money.
Methods available
One common way is taking up an extra job after the main one. You can join a restaurant, a fast food joint, shop such as garments, jewelry, or any other showroom.
You can become a collection agent, do some marketing. You can take up some reliable products to be sold. Catering can be done from the house. Take up some reliable products to be sold where you will be paid some commission. Giving lessons, or teaching in a tutorial can also be done part time. For those artistically inclined, you can teach art such as drawing, oil, painting or other spray, fabric, nib, charcoal painting. You can also sell many of your art pieces be it canvas, pottery or sculpture. Embroidery or stitching can fetch a fair amount of cash.
Independent income
There are others interested in stating up their own business. You can open up your own flower stall, fast food joint, cake shop, bookstore etc. A garment business can be started in your house itself. Apart from these, without investment you can do Insurance. Even though markets are low at the present, later you can go for the share market. Becoming a mutual fund agent can increase income. Then there is the land dealing business, which can be trying at times but is lucrative. Car dealings are another option. You can start a small employment bureau or marriage bureau. Over the years there have been innumerable jobs to be done through the internet. Selling through eBay is quite popular.
Creative Writing & Media
There is a totally different avenue to making some extra bucks. If you have an imaginary mind then you can write short stories for magazines or even venture into writing novels. For those who are aware of social issues or environment issues, you can write your article on these topics. You will be paid well. Those with attractive voices can become radio jockeys or lend your voice for T.V. channels. You can also act in T.V. serials.
Mind over matter
In our hurry to make extra cash we tend to become a bit careless. Caution should be maintained while choosing your mode. It is better not to join anything blindly as there a lot of pitfalls involved. Even though it is good to be motivated towards something interesting, too much greed or ambition can be harmful. There should be some spirituality in us which keeps us content with a little less and enables us to enjoy what we are gifted with already. Honor should come before ambition because at the end of the day we should be able to look back with pride.
