Travel Money - the New Way to Pay

The Travel FX card – sounds like something out of Star Trek, but is actually much more easy to get hold of and use. This card looks like a credit or debit card, but is used in much in the same way as prepaid card. That means you purchase foreign currency at the best available rate, which is then loaded on to the card to be used as a normal payment card wherever you see the logo that the card carries. This will be one of the main credit card providers such as VISA or MasterCard, which means you can use it at one of hundreds of thousands of outlets around the world – including restaurants, ATM machines and shops.

A great feature of the Travel FX card is that you can store all of your money in one place – a place that is small, easy to carry and safe. Cash or travellers cheques are much more easy to lose or get stolen, and take up much more space. If you lose the card, you can cancel it immediately no matter where you are in the world: call the 24 hour hotline. Then you can have it replaced simply and quickly.

There really aren't any bad points with the Travel FX card, unless you don't like being charged for making a transaction. However, you will be dealing with much more in the way of fees and hidden extras with a regular card. Additionally, the Travel FX card providers usually list their fees and charges in a very clear and concise way, so that customers are not caught out. That is why it is definitely worth looking at the many options available on the Travel FX card market.
