If you love fishing and want to get away for a relaxed week of fishing then why not try going for one of the many catfishing holidays that are available. If you truly love fishing whether it is catfishing or not you will love these holidays.
If you are going to go on one of the brilliant catfishing holidays then you should make sure that you are going to be going at a good time in the season. There are many different aspects to consider when thinking about when you want to go on your catfishing holiday. You will find that peak season is probably one of the best times to go. Peak season for catfishing holidays is in May and June, Early May is not the best time to go as the fishing can be slightly unpredictable when the catfish are starting to spawn. Then moving on in the month the fishing becomes incredible where so many fish are usually caught, this is because once the spawning process is over the catfish go out looking to feed so much that it is rare if you don’t catch at least a few big catfish a day. The only problem with taking your catfishing holidays in these 2 months is that it is so popular, but why does that matter when there are so many catfish to catch,
July and August also prove to be brilliant times of the year to go on your catfishing holidays because of the heat that is brought along with the 2 months the catfish start to feed an awful lot more which means that fishing can be brilliant at these times of the year. Early morning and late evenings prove time and time again that they are really good times to go catfishing. This is the time when the weeds start blooming, this is a very good thing for catfishing as this is the place where many of them will be staying.
Also when you go on your catfishing holidays you are going to need to know when the best weather is so that you are not going to get there and be stuck in downright miserable weather when catfishing is going to be brilliant even in the heat. During the summer months of July and August the weather is scorching but yet usually the fishing is consistent and good.
Moving on to the late summer season which is September and October the river remains low from the hot summer that it will have just been subjected to, the water temperatures are usually high until the end of October meaning that the fish will remain there still. This is also a good time of year to go on your catfishing holidays as the fishing is consistent and good. When the weather is cloudy or with some rain the fishing becomes absolutely brilliant.
Now during the winter season the weather is not very nice with really cold winds coming in, the fishing can be good still but it is nowhere near as good as the summer and early season months. Fish will still be caught but nowhere near as many. The fish are still there so it isn’t bad fishing, just it can be very slow at times.
Overall I would say that the best time to go on your catfishing holidays is probably mid May or early June to get the best out of your holidays.
