Most people participating in athletic endeavors understand the need for proper footwear. Serious golfers buy top-rated golf shoes. A dedicated runner would never be caught wearing cheap sneakers. Even weekend-warrior soccer players splurge for an expensive pair of cleats.
Why is it they do this? Because they understand that proper support for the feet will minimize injury and improve performance by providing optimal balance and comfort. Unfortunately, the expensive, top brand name shoes may not actually be a benefit for you. Shoe manufacturers put the money and quality of their product in the shoe itself, not the insoles that come standard with shoes. A thorough inspection of even the nicest appearing insoles in even very expensive shoes will reveal nothing more than a flimsy thin insole designed strictly to cover the bottom of the shoe’s inside to hide stitching and glued seams. The difference in functionality and comfort by replacing those stock insoles with good quality insoles or orthotic arch supports will make the shoes incredibly more comfortable and serviceable for your feet.
That is not to say you should not buy quality, expensive athletic shoes. Just understand that these expensive shoes may not actually help provide the optimal support and comfort. Unfortunately, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all when it comes to supportive athletic shoes.
We all have different needs when it comes to arch support and comfort. Some of us have varying degrees of arch drop, while others have very high arches and need more support in certain areas of the foot. Regular athletic shoes, even the most expensive ones, can’t provide the proper support or cushioning for all feet. As such, they are usually designed for the middle of the road foot. Meaning, slight arch support and moderate cushioning.
If you are a serious athlete, or even a regular participant, it is important to make sure your feet are being protected. Without the proper support and cushioning you increase the chance of injury dramatically.
Adding orthotic arch supports or cushions is a simple and effective alternative. If you suffer from even mild arch drop, it is important to add arch supports to your athletic shoes, not just your regular, every day walking shoes or dress shoes. If you have high arches it becomes even more important to increase the cushioning in your shoes in order to decrease the strain and stress placed on your feet during athletic activity.
TheInsoleStore offers a wide variety of Sports Insoles for whatever your needs may be. The variety of insoles offered provide energy return cushioning, arch support, shock absorption and help re-energize your feet. Top quality brands available in various styles, purposes and designs.
High-quality athletic shoes are worth the price in that they can help improve performance and will last longer. But unless you have optimal foot balance, which very few of us do, it is important to add a Sport Insole in order to provide ideal support and cushioning. You will be amazed at how much comfort you will have, how improved your balance will be, and how much less fatigue you will feel with the proper insoles.
