Wii Fit is a video game developed by Nintendo for the Wii console. It is an exercise game consisting of activities using the Wii Balance board peripheral that can measure a user's weight and their center of gravity, and calculate their body mass index based on the user's height.
Wii Fit allows users to install the Wii Fit Channel straight to the Wii Menu, which allows them to compare fitness results and perform a Body Test without inserting the game disc. This Channel will also let them know when their last body test was taken right on the Wii Menu. The Body Test performs two functions. First it weighs the users for their daily weigh in. Secondly, it calculates a Wii Fitness Age, which comprises of their weight, actual age, and performance on two balance minigames.

It's a decent alternative for those bored with the repetitiveness of going to a gym or too self-conscious to join a yoga or aerobics class. Training within this accessory is divided into four categories like Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, and Balance Games. These exercises will provide a "core workout", stressing slower, controlled motions.
Aside of these exercises, the aerobic and balance activities represent the fun side of Wii Fit with 18 games to choose from. The aerobic games include hula hoops, Wii Sports-like boxing, step dancing, jogging, and more. The balance activities are what most casual users of Wii Fit will first gravitate to, and include ski jump, ski slalom, snowboarding, and a table tilt game where users have to use their shifting weight in a Mercury Meltdown-style challenge, and more.
So, from the overall views, Wii Fit seems to be a necessary accessory for those who prefer to keep their body fit and also would love to have fun during their workouts.
