Read completely, to understand every point. After having decided to travel by air, the following check list can be used to make it easy travel:

2. Decide the airlines, based on the sector and timings as per your choice.
Check the fares with the agents/airlines (ask for the cheaper fares and discounts)
Decide your date of traveling (To & Fro) and class of traveling (Economy/Executive/Club etc ;)

3. Pay cash or use credit card to buy tickets

4. When you are given a ticket:
Check your name, date of travel, sector of traveling, class of travel, fare, how much luggage can be carried, Flight number and time to report.

5. Pack your belongings in two bags (A big one with lock and a small-hand baggage-may be without lock)
Put non essential belongings in the big bag and lock. This bag is called CHECK IN baggage. i.e. you will register the bag with the airlines on the day of travel. They take and give you a counter foil. Such checked-in baggage will be kept in cargo store compartments of the aircraft in which you are traveling. After reaching the destination you will take the checked in bag and return the counter foil.
Use your hand bag for important and essential items like valuables/medicines/documents and snacks.

6. Reach the airport just before the time to report, indicated on the ticket.
Take a trolley and put your luggage on it. Push to reach the airport entrance. Take your ticket out and show it to the police at the entrance and enter the departure hall.

NOTE: You be prepared to walk / climb steps /use escalator to reach the described places in the aircraft.
For the needy, the airlines/airport authorities are kind enough to provide required facilities like Wheel chair/first aid/stretchers/lift/escalators/elevators. Toilets/water outlets/snack / books outlet/telephone booths etc; are also available.
There will be indicators in important places. Follow them carefully.

7. Observe for a minute, here you find your airline counters and x ray machines.
Push your trolley towards the x ray machine. Remove your big bag with lock and put it in the machine. Collect the bag after they put a security sticker and move with your trolley to your airlines counter.

8. At the counter you produce your ticket. Then they ask you “Do you have any checked in baggage”.
You give them your locked bag as checked in baggage.

9. You can request for your choice of seat:
Window seat: If you want to watch nature and you don’t want to be disturbed
