United Business class passengers can enjoy new type of seat facility

In the past, Business Class seats in United Airlines had recliners and leg rest facility. But new seats are designed in a very different way; they can be converted into 180 degree bed for maximum comfort. It also provides additional comfort and amenities.

Business class passengers are provided 15 inch flat screen that has 150 hours of video programming which would entertain passengers. Passengers can while away their time by watching movies or by playing games etc. Many will find the 100 volt regular outlet very useful at the front of each new United Business Class seat, especially when operating a computer for several hours. The outlet is also convenient to charge a cell phone before landing.

The new Business Class seat has lumbar massage facility which is very relaxing. Since passengers have to sit for long hours, the seat provides massage to lower back which may be relaxing. The lumbar massage is controlled on the hand rest and operates on a 25-minute cycle.

Other facilities provided are iPod port, coat rack and a shelf for personal items. The cockpit feel of United’s new Business Class seats provide very limited privacy. Additional improvements to create more isolation should be considered in future upgrades.

With new seats business class passengers who travel internationally can have a wonderful experience. They will not face back ace problem. Other facilities provided are 180 degree seats, entertainment and cockpit which can create a fun filled experience.

United Airlines provides various classes of seating to its international passengers. The most economical being Coach seating, followed by United’s Economy Plus. Next level is Business Class followed by first Class.

Business class seating facility can be enjoyed by frequent travelers for an additional fee or frequent flyer upgrades. If a passenger is upgraded to Business Class seat, he can receive a few amenities that can create an enjoyable flight experience. Business class passengers can choose the meal based on the menu provided by them. There are several gourmet meal options to choose from. The meals start with an appetizer and then continue with several courses to end with a dessert selection.  


Some basic amenities provided by them are available in a little bag. Toothpaste and Toothbrush offer a chance to freshen up, eye cover shades can provide a better sleep and ear plugs can reduce sounds. Each passenger is also provided with a pair of slippers.

Lighting is great on the United Business Class seats, and since long haul internal flights frequently dim cabin lighting, having two lighting sources provides more than sufficient lighting. The overhead light is fixed in one direction and typically useful. The second light on a flexible base behind the seat allows for the direction to be aimed exactly where the light is needed.
