NFL Week 10 Picks - Philadelphia Eagles vs San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers host the Philadelphia Eagles, Sunday Nov 15, as the Chargers look to win four straight. The Eagles have won two in a row, but trail the overall series 5-4. NFL oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com have the Chargers as -1 point home favs over the Eagles with the over/under set at 47 points. The Eagles (5-3) lost to Dallas 16-20 at home in Week 9. QB Donovan McNabb made 16 of 30 passes for 227 yards with one TD pass and two interceptions; overall he’s thrown for 1,235 yards with 10 TD passes and three interceptions for a 95.5 passer rating. RB LeSean McCoy had 13 carries for 54 yards and five catches for 61 yards, replacing the injured RB Brian Westbrook who will probably sit out this week. TE Brent Celek added a TD. The Eagles pulled down one interception and had four sacks on the day. They are 2-1 SU on the road where they average 24.6ppg and give up 13.3ppg. They are 5-3 ATS overall while averaging 27.3ppg and allowing 19.1ppg. The Eagles employ one of the league's most aggressive defenses and love to utilize the blitz. One of the best ways to combat such a defensive tactic is to use quick screen plays. The Cowboys ran such plays effectively with Kevin Ogletree last week. Sproles is exactly the kind of dynamic playmaker that can burn the blitz if he catches the ball in space. When DeSean Jackson is able to get into the end zone, it changes everything for Philadelphia. The team is 4-1 and averages 32.2 points per game when he scores a touchdown and is just 1-2 and averages only 19.3 points per game when he does not score. All six of Jackson's TDs this season have gone at least 50 yards and he energizes the team every time he escapes for a long score. Philadelphia's Brent Celek leads NFC tight ends with 486 receiving yards this year.
