One woe, go and another come. While the problem between the owner of Washington Redskins and coach hasn't solved yet, many players got injured during week 9 game against Atlanta Falcons. In a word, bad luck for skins!
Redskins running back Clinton Portis was sidelined in Sunday's game after taking a blow to the head from Atlanta Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud. Portis left the game with 3:20 remaining in the first quarter after a helmet-to-helmet hit. Portis's situation shows signs of concussion.
QB Jason Campbell also got bad injury. His chest was hurt when he was sacked for the fifth time in the first half. At the start of the second half, Campbell got an ankle injury in the fourth quarter but returned for the next possession. Campbell was hurt when tackled from behind by the big guy Jonathan Babineaux who has 288 lb.
Offensive tackle Mike Williams got ankle hurt problem.
Redskins' offense and defense is the worst among NFL teams. It seems that they cannot withstand a single blow now. Clinton was sacked five times and hit eight times…and that’s not even including tipped balls and QB hurries. Hmmm... Skins have to think about that.
The Redskins are now 2-6 on the season. The future looks rather gloomy due to many injuries. They will play four consecutive playoff contenders: Denver, Dallas, Philadelphia and New Orleans. Facing these strong teams, their win hope is smaller and smaller. Maybe they need to consider start young players. But even that, it can't help them a lot.

NFL Week 16 Matchups, Picks and Odds
By: bryan singer | 24/12/2009It’s time to watch NFL Week 16 Picks and Odds. Well, changing my picking style did nothing for changing my luck. Another 10-6 week brought my total through 15 weeks to 142-82. This week I feel pretty strong that I will improve. I'm looking for a 13 win week! The only way I seek another average week is for teams to rest starters, or just not mentally show up for work since they did, or didn't, make the playoffs. For the most part, there are many teams who still have a shot at the playoffs, or a p

Folk tale ends: Cowboys cut struggling kicker; Suisham in
By: wjx | 22/12/2009 | FootballThe Dallas Cowboys cut kicker Nick Folk on Monday and replaced him with Shaun Suisham, who used to play for the team. NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi reports that Shane Andrus, Steve Hauschka, Connor Hughes and Parker Douglass also tried out for the job. Suisham previously kicked for the Cowboys in 2005 and 2006. He was released by the Washington Redskins on Dec. 8 after missing a key kick — the same problem that cost Folk his job Monday.
Rams back at practice after swine flu cases; Jackson sits
By: wjx | 19/12/2009 | FootballST. LOUIS Quarterback Kyle Boller and running back Steven Jackson both missed Friday’s practice with flulike symptoms, raising the possibility that neither will play Sunday against the Houston Texans. Boller also missed practice Wednesday, so the Rams are almost certain to go with rookie Keith Null for the second straight week.”I’d say we’d probably have to lean that way,” coach Steve Spagnuolo said. “Let’s find out where Kyle is today and tomorrow.”
Allen in, Cerrato out for Redskins
By: wjx | 18/12/2009 | FootballThe Washington Redskins brought back a familiar name and dusted off a long-unused title Thursday in a major front-office shake-up, the first of many anticipated changes resulting from a losing season. Bruce Allen, son of late Redskins Hall of Fame coach George Allen, is the team’s new general manager. He becomes the first person hired by Dan Snyder to hold the GM title, a notable milestone after a decade of various front-office arrangements that usually centered around the owner and his good friend, Vinny Cerrato.
Brady, Wilfork, Warren among Patriots who don’t practice
By: wjx | 17/12/2009 | FootballNew England patriots quarterback Tom Brady sat out practice Wednesday with a number of nagging injuries, but he said his biggest challenge is getting enough sleep. Brady was asked Wednesday about his first week with his still-unnamed baby boy with wife Gisele Bunchchen. “It’s good. It’s good. I’m glad it’s over,” Brady said. “Trying to get back to my normal sleep schedule, which I’m sure, for all of us parents, is a little tough early, but it’s coming getting used to this.”
Vikings' Harvin questionable vs. Bengals due to migraines
By: wjx | 12/12/2009 | FootballVikings rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin missed his third consecutive practice with migraine headaches and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Vikings coach Brad Childress wouldn’t rule out Harvin for the showdown between division leaders, but he wasn’t overly confident that the explosive receiver would be able to play.

By: wjx | 09/12/2009 | FootballThe season is over for Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis. Now he’s left to contemplate where he might play next – and whether he will play again. Portis was in a reflective mood Tuesday after the Redskins placed him on injured reserve. Doctors have yet to clear him from a concussion he suffered a month ago, and he sounded like a player with a very opened-ended future.
Jags beat Texans, keep pace in wild-card race
By: wjx | 07/12/2009 | FootballWhen the Jacksonville Jaguars look back on this season, they might point to two games against AFC South-rival Houston. And two miscues by Texans running back Chris Brown. David Garrard threw two touchdown passes, had his first turnover-free game in a month and the Jaguars stayed in the AFC wild-card hunt with a 23-18 victory over injury-depleted, turnover-prone Houston on Sunday.
