Bill Parsons is the owner of MaximumFantasySports.com and
is a rabid fantasy sports participant. He began creating his own baseball and fantasy fantasy leagues at the ripe old age of seven and tracking stats and standings on paper. After the birth of fantasy sports on the internet, he participated in and evaluated numerous fantasy football sites, only to be disappointed at the generic nature of these sites. None could mirror the creativity that came from running leagues manually. Bill decided to create a real-time fantasy football league website that included all of the best features that he has used over the years, some of which have never been attempted at any other website. I apologize for the overzealous use of the apostrophized abbreviations but I was hoping that it would emphasize the statement. We all know that the NFL is a rough sport and we often criticize the officials for some of the penalties that we see called and react by screaming out. Come on! Let them play! Put the QB in a tutu if you are going to treat him that way. But, damn, anyone who saw that hit at the end of the Jets game on Anquan Boldin knows of which I write. I guess he fractured a sinus membrane. OK, now I may not know much about the inner workings of the human anatomy, but I know I have been elbow-deep in my sinus cavity and failed to puncture any membrane. My guess is that his brain bounced off the walls of his skull like a racquetball enough times and hard enough that the membrane could not withstand the force. If it wasn't for his facemask, it may have ended up in the end zone. Based on that injury and some fallout from the Steelers-Ravens heavyweight brawl on Monday Night Football, we get to this week's waiver wire hotties.
QB Kyle Orton (CHI): Orton has taken a lot of heat over the last two years thanks to an offensive scheme that forced him to limit his deep throws to 10 yards. However, it looks like the Bears finally understand how throwing the ball long and opening the passing game a bit can help an offense. The Bears step inside Ford Field this week to face a pathetic Lions defense and Orton should enjoy his gameplan.
RB Deuce McAllister (NO): I am not sure what Deuce did to get himself into Sean Payton's doghouse as he was relegated to the DND-CD list 2 weeks ago, but he undid it and got the rock last week and showed that he still has some life left in those balky legs of his. Running against the Viking defense is no easy task, but there is a chance that he could be a major TD factor in this offense once again after being left for fantasy death.
RB Le'Ron McClain (BAL): I am leaving McClain on the list again this week since he was still available in almost 30% of Maximum Fantasy Sports leagues. Willis McGahee left MNF due to an injury and McClain ran like a man possessed against a solid Steelers defense.
RB Warrick Dunn (TB): Dunn has been factoring nicely into the Tampa Bay offense. He is a nice change-of-pace running back that is always a threat when catching a swing pass. He is definitely a nice option this week at Denver as there is a good chance that even the Bucs offense can put up some good points.
RB Mewelde Moore (PITT): This may be a one-week move, but a good one if you need a Bye week fill in as he is all Pittsburgh really has for this week.
WR Steve Breaston (AZ): Breaston is the benefactor of the Boldin injury. Actually, he had already been working in nicely as the 3rd WR in their vertical game. You can expect opposing defenses to double and triple team Larry Fitzgerald, so Breaston will get more Looks than many number 1 receivers.
WR Steve Smith (NYG): After factoring into the Giants offense more-and-more down the stretch last year, Smith has been a non-factor this season. With Plaxico Burress suspended this coming week, Smith could be a nice sleeper against the Seahawks.

Portis’ future with Redskins unclear
By: wjx | 09/12/2009The season is over for Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis. Now he’s left to contemplate where he might play next – and whether he will play again. Portis was in a reflective mood Tuesday after the Redskins placed him on injured reserve. Doctors have yet to clear him from a concussion he suffered a month ago, and he sounded like a player with a very opened-ended future.

Is The “Prima Donna” Attitude Ruining Professional Football
By: David Stargel | 08/12/2009The “it’s all about me” attitude that seems to be showing up more and more in our society today, is running rampant through the National Football League. And while some people say it’s just the stars expressing themselves, I personally don’t like it and think that it has the potential to ruin the sport.

How to Play Fantasy Football?
By: Bill Parsons | 19/10/2008 | FootballThe NFL season would seem incomplete nowadays without the presence of Fantasy Football. Nfl Week 2 Gaffes
By: Bill Parsons | 25/09/2008 | FootballWow, Week 2 sure was filled with gaffes. In fantasy football or the NFL, you ask? But of course, in both.
