* 3 pieces of lumbar
* L brackets
* Piece of plywood or thin hard wood
* Screws and brads
* Stain, paint and sand paper
* Hammer and screwdriver

Another thing that will be necessary to have is a router. Also a drill with drill bits will be very essential. Make holes with the drill in the plywood to fix screws. The two pieces of lumbar will form the sides of the cabinet therefore, lumbar is very important. The other piece of the lumbar will cut into 3 pieces which will form the top of the bookcase, bottom and shelves.

After you are done, it is time to sand all the borders and boards with a sand paper. Then, paint all edges and do not forget to paint hardwood and plywood. You need to optimize the spacing of your bookshelves. Of course, this will be dependant on the size of your books. You need to draw a spacing on the sides of your bookcase.

It is now time to join the 'L' brackets to the sides of the bookcase keeping in mind suitable heights. To match with the color of the bookcase, paint the 'L' brackets. Joining a hard board with the brads will make the back of the bookcase. When you follow this guidelines on how to build as bookcase, you will end up with good results and if you get a hang of it, you will definitely produce excellent bookcases.
