The queen mattress is a preferred size of many people when it comes to mattress dimensions. This mattress is 60 inches wide for a nice comfortable fit and 80 inches long. This is one of the best selling sizes.
If you would prefer a little larger mattress than a queen but not the full king, there is the cal-king size mattress. The mattress dimensions of this one are 72 inches wide and 84 inches long. For a good fit, this size would be great for a kid's room where brothers or sisters have to share a bed.
Another size in the king family of mattresses is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. This is another mattress that is a good size for sharing.
Finally, the king split mattress, which is the same size as the regular king, at 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. The difference is the mattresses are two twin XL mattresses on the box springs. This can be useful if a lot of tossing and turning is keeping up your sleeping partner at night. As the mattress is split, your partner will not be jostled while sleeping.
