To retain the attractive aesthetic looks of the 10-inch 1005HA. The resolution is high with 1366 x 768 pixels. Z520 Intel Atom processor has been installed in it.
Asus Eee PC 1101HA Seashell (black) is tagged with a price amount of $429. It has been in-built with the 1.3GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, 160GB-5400rpm hard drive, 1GB, 533MHz DDR2 memory, Intel US15W chipset, OS-Windows XP, mobile Intel GMA 500 integrated graphics card and 11.6-inch LED screen size. 1101HA design is similar to that of 1005HA version. There is a gentle slope and a narrowed front edge towards the system and at the rear end it’s quite thicker. On the sides of the Netbook, there is room for Ethernet and standard VGA jacks. The footprint is slightly bigger which gives a traditional layout for keyboard with keys flat at the top which broaden at the base.
Shift key, which is on the right, is oddly small. Some of the media keys are absent in this keyboard and many keys have swap functions, like the ‘space bar’ which also reins the system power presets. In the system super hybrid engine power software can be overclocked and this overclocking may be adjusted to any percent from 5 to 30. The texture of the touch pad is like petite raised bumps which make it perfect for usage. This gives a high-quality palpable feedback when you maneuver over the surface of the touchpad. The solitary rocker bar which is used as right and left buttons of mouse is unsubstantial and slender. It would have been better if they were split and faintly large buttons.
The high resolution and large display helps in giving less claustrophobic experience while watching on-screen. This is also suitable for navigating lengthy office docs or bigger Web pages. This Netbook offers pretty standard connections and ports including Bluetooth and 802.11 Wi-Fi, making up a complete fair package. There is no integral hardware mobile broadband. In general the Intel Z series runs swiftly and it is proposed for hand held MIDs. Netbooks becomes annoyingly slower than any other N-series Atom if any bonus feat is added. Built-in overclocking is the extenuating aspect in 1101 which is bowed in the power management software by switching between presets. You can see benchmark scores when the overclocking is turned on.
The battery life will be impacted by the overclocking of CPU and thus generates more heat by reducing the stability of the system. To improve the power consumption, you can under clock the CPU to 1.0GHz but anything useful can’t be done in WindowsXP which runs at a slow speed. The battery life of the Asus 1101HA Netbook is around 8hrs and 50mins. This helps in watching a video, running software and doing high power consuming tasks. This is great for all day computing process! This Netbook is covered up with one year parts and labor warranty and also it offers a toll free phone number and online web based help.
