In my opinion the soft mod chip is the best chip for Wii br far, its cheaper than a modchip and very easy to install without any technical know how. My soft chip for Wii has been brilliant since I bought it a few months ago and I cannot fault it at all, I used to install playstation 2 chips and the soft chip is a god send!
