Say the word 'projection' and some of us think of clunky, noisy reel to reel projectors showing black and white movies. Some of us think of going to the movie theater. Some of us think of the multimedia projector found at our workplaces.
In a few short years that will not be the case. Many people will be the proud owners of micro projectors and there will be no turning back. Never heard of them? Some of the second generation handheld multimedia pico projectors use DLP ( Digital Light Processing) technology rather than LCD (liquid crystal diode) technology. DLP projectors do not have filters, have more brilliant color, greater contrast ratios, and greater picture reliability. DLP projectors are faster than LCD, resulting in videos that do not blur. Because DLP projectors use a single chip, the units are more compact and lighter in weight. The end result is a clear, high contrast image with crisp, true-to-life color.
