We were all thrilled to hear that this fantastic music player was here for our benefit. Apple, the makers of iPods, Mac Computers and the iPhone, has become the new buzz of the town. People are such fans of Apple that every new items being introduced in the market is a must-have for all. Earlier this year, I fall prey to the iPod Touch. I bought one for myself after seeing a classmate of mine surfing the net with his iPod Touch. I, too, am a fan of Apple but never really a die-hard fan because of financial constraints (Apple sell very expensive products, as you all know). What caught my attention is that it is a touch screen gadget. "Wow that really is some good stuff," I said to myself. I got to have one. Being the ever so compulsive me, I browsed the internet and searched for the cheapest iPod Touch. And yes! I finally found a second-hand but a very good buy iPod Touch. I was very thrilled to have this gadget. I was so much in love with the gizmo. In spite of having a laptop and an internet connection in our house, I preferred using my iPod Touch when surfing the net (its Wi-Fi capability makes it possible to do this). This way I can surf while lying on the bed. Well, being the nearsighted me, I endured the small letters and the very hard to use QWERTY keyboard (sometimes the internet browser hangs on my iPod). I was really super enjoying it. Until one time, I got so sick of the gadget that I decided to sell it through the internet. I realized that I am not much of a music fan and I was just in it for a very short term satisfaction. I guess it is safe to say that I was just selfish of my classmate (haha!) It is a fact that some of these gadgets are just unnecessary luxuries. However it is always good to know that the youth of today have all these gadgets on their hands. In some aspects, these gadgets have been beneficial to them while on the other side of the story, a sort of negative vibe evoke from these gizmos. Why, you may ask. Well for one, these gadgets have opened up an avenue for these youngsters where they can freely express themselves through music. Teens now have gained access to a world of wonderful things. Certain negative aspects like the being never satisfied and the desire to want more may elicit a sense of greediness (like what happened to me). Nevertheless, I think there is more positive outcome of this and this is much more important? What is? It is making the practice of seeing a "glass that is half full". So to sum it all up, although I just recently realized that I was not really a music fan, buying the iPod Touch and selling it afterwards has sort of brought me happiness but it certainly made me realize one thing - I am a compulsive buyer!
