The concept of setting up or starting a home Hydroponics garden is inexpensive, easily maintained, easy to clean, and pesticide free.
For these all these above reasons, home hydroponics has become extremely popular.
Hydroponics procedure is used today to grow healthy and lush indoor plants, fruits and vegetables. The basic requirements of these plants can be met without the necessity of having sunlight or soil by using tried and true Hydroponics methods. Plants are supported by soil and its food is provided by nutritient solutions that contains mineral elements.
With the proper use of artificial light and using nutrients, the home hydroponics gardener can achieve brilliant results all year long. An ideal environment is created by the Hydroponics Gardener for the plant where one can control the Light, oxygen, water, temperature, pH, and nutrients.
Home hydroponics gardeners have used the method hydroponics on a smaller note to grow fresh fruits or vegetables year round and to grow flower plants in smaller spaces, such as balcony or an apartment. Hydroponically grown foods are:
* More nutritional * Taste better * Pesticide free & pollute less.
You can also grow more in lesser space. This is especially great for those of us that do not have a space in the back yard to grow plants or have a vegetable garden of their own.
With the right plant selection & no requirement of soil, you also keep pests away.
The process of Soil less gardening in home hydroponics brings many advantages to the home gardener. One needs no cleaning of those weeds, soil-borne pests and external diseases that are minimized, if not eliminated completely.
Home hydroponics plants if properly grown are much healthier since it receives all the necessary growth elements.
The plants mature faster and also yield an earlier harvest of vegetable and flower crops. Home Hydroponics gardens use lesser space since the roots need not spread out in search of food and water as it does when it grows in the normal soil.
The smaller space required in home hydroponics makes it ideal for those home gardeners & one may also think of taking a greenhouse. The biggest advantage of home hydroponics is reducing the actual time that is required for the growth of the plants.
The automation reduces the time and also provides flexibility to the gardener in looking into his other works without worrying about the condition of the plants.
One can buy a home hydroponics kit that is available in the market or else can create their own kit suiting their requirements. The cheapest kit that may be around $190 that gives support for 8 plants, but is not so very versatile.
This kit uses the ebb and flow method. One can also go for the bubbler systems that come at $50.A combination of these 2 will give a much better and cheaper system.
The other methods are like the Nutrient film technique that it a thin layer of nutrient solutions over the roots. This is commonly used by most of those professional gardeners. The interesting method here involves the suspension of the plant roots in mid air and spraying nutrients to those roots frequently thus providing the feed.
But till now it is seen that for home hydroponics gardening the cheapest and simplest method is the bubbler system. Here the pots are filled with the required nutrient solution and then the solution is well aerated. The air bubbles caused due to aeration will keep the plants moist.
One can create a simple home growing system on their own that will only require a simple glass jar, an aquarium air bubbler, cooler, nutrients and something to float the plants like Styrofoam. A water pump can be fixed that will periodically pump the nutrient solution to the plants kept in the jar or container.
One does not require the soil here since it's only used to anchor the plant. Or Else if the soil is required then we can use a mixture of soil and the mineral salts. So make your own home hydroponics garden at your place that is available.
Either one can also go to the market and choose a good home hydroponics kit fit for the space & the plants that you intend to grow by hydroponics method.
